iCal Sync with TripAdvisor (and FlipKey)

Setup calendar synchronisation between TripAdvisor (and formerly FlipKey) and iCalSync.io

Follow these steps to synchronise your iCalendar with TripAdvisor.

Import iCal

  1. Login to TripAdvisor.
  2. Select “Listings” from the main menu. (See image STEP 1 below)
  3. Take note of the listing’s ID for which you want to set up the iCal sync.
  4. Click on “Calendar” in the main menu. Verify that your listing’s ID from step 1 is in the URL. If not, update it manually as TripAdvisor doesn’t have an easy way for switching calendars weirdly enough.(See image STEP 2 below)
  5. Once the calendar is confirmed as being the correct one, click on “Import” on the right hand side.
  6. Select “Other” from the pop-up overview. (See image STEP 3 below)
  7. Enter the iCalSync.io iCal export URL in the field. (See image STEP 4 below)
  8. Give your iCalendar a name, like: “iCalSync.io”.
  9. Click “Import”.
 

Export iCal

  1. Follow steps 1 – 8 above.
  2. Click “Copy Link”. (See image STEP 5 below)
  3. Click “Close”.
  4. Go to XXXXXXXX on your dashboard.
  5. Paste the copied link.
  6. Save!

Or


  1. Go to the Calendar page from the menu.
  2. Click “Export”, to find your listing’s iCal export URL. (See image STEP 6 below)
 

You are now all set. Calendar synchronisation with TripAdvisor has been set successfully.

iCal Sync with Booka Rentals

Setup calendar synchronisation between Booka Rentals and iCalSync.io

Follow these steps to synchronise your iCalendar with any Booka Rentals website.

Import iCal

  1. Login to your Booka Rentals website, Bookahouseboat.com for example. Or Bookalighthouse.com, Bookatreehouse.com, Bookaglamping.com, Bookafishingcabin.com, Bookarivertrip.com, Bookasailingship.com, Bookaweirdplace.com
  2. Locate the listing you want to sync with from the overview.
  3. Click “Edit Calendar” (See image STEP 1 below)
  4. Scroll down to the section “iCalendar – iCal“. (See image STEP 2 below)
  5. Enter the iCalSync.io export url in the field.
  6. Click “Add new Ical”.
 

Export iCal

  1. Follow steps 1 – 3 above.
  2. Scroll down to the section “iCal export URL”. (See image STEP 3 below)
  3. Click “Copy URL to clipboard”.
  4. Go to XXXXXXXX on your dashboard.
  5. Paste the copied link.
  6. Save!
 

You are now all set. Calendar synchronisation with Booka Rentals has been set successfully.

iCal Sync with VRBO

Setup calendar synchronisation between VRBO and iCalSync.io

Follow these steps to synchronise your iCalendar with VRBO (HomeAway).

Import iCalSync.io iCal To VRBO

  1. Login to VRBO.com.
  2. Select “Owner Dashboard” from the menu. (See image STEP 1 below)
  3. Optional: in case you have multiple listings, select the correct one.
  4. Select “Calendar” from the left menu. (See image STEP 2 below)
  5. Select “Import & Export” from the menu above the calendar. (See image STEP 3 below)
  6. Click “Import a calendar” from the menu on the right of the page. (See image STEP 4 below)
  7. In the “Calendar URL” field, paste our iCalSync.io export link in this field. (See image STEP 5 below)
  8. Select “Block” in the “Choose how calendar events import” section.
  9. Click “Next”.
  10. Give your iCalendar a name, like: “iCalSync.io”. (See image STEP 6 below)
  11. Select your favourite color from the limited options.
  12. Click “Import”.
  13. You’ll see the imported calendar. (See image STEP 7 below)
 
Export VRBO iCal to iCalSync.io

  1. Follow steps 1 – 5 above. Or go back to the “Import & export” menu overview on the right side. (See image STEP 3 below)
  2. Click “Export calendar” from the menu on the right of the page. (See image STEP 4 below)
  3. Decide if you want to export ‘tentative booking requests’ to external calendars. It is more friendly for your guests to do so. (See image STEP 8 below)
  4. Click “Copy URL”.
  5. Go to XXXXXXXX on your dashboard.
  6. Paste the copied link.
  7. Save!

  2. Select “Rates & Availability” from the main menu. (See image STEP 1 below)
  3. Click on “Add calendar connection” below the listing you want to setup iCal Sync for. (See image STEP 2 below)
  4. Enter the iCalSync.io iCal export URL in the field. (See image STEP 3 below)
  5. Give your iCalendar a name, like: “iCalSync.io”.
  6. Click “Next step”.
 

Export iCal

  1. Follow steps 1 – 6 above.
  2. Click “Copy Link”. (See image STEP 4 below)
  3. Click “Done”.
  4. Go to XXXXXXXX on your dashboard.
  5. Paste the copied link.
  6. Save!

Follow these steps to synchronise your iCalendar with Airbnb.

iCal Import

  1. Login to Airbnb. (See image STEP 1 below)
  2. Select “Manage listings” from the menu. (See image STEP 2 below)
  3. Select “Listings” from the “Menu”. (See image STEP 3 below)
  4. Select the listing you want to sync the iCal for. (See image STEP 4 below)
  5. Select “Pricing and availability” from the menu on the left side of the page. (See image STEP 5 below)
  6. Click “Calendar sync” from the sub-menu. (See image STEP 6 below)
  7. Click “Import Calendar” (page center), paste our iCalSync.io export link in this field. (See image STEP 7 below)
  8. Give your iCalendar a name, like: “iCalSync.io”.
  9. Click the “Import calendar” button.
 
iCal Export

  1. Follow step 1 – 6 above.
  2. Click “Export calendar” (page center), double click the URL and press “Ctrl+c” (Windows) or “Command+c” (Mac) to copy the URL. (See image STEP 7 below)
  3. Go to XXXXXXXX on your dashboard.
  4. Paste the copied link.
  5. Save!
You are now all set. Calendar synchronisation with VRBO has been set successfully.
